The badamier - Terminalia catappa

All parts of the plant are used in traditional medicine against dysentery, diarrhea, and joint inflammation and to treat cough, stress, bronchitis, and asthma. Bakuchi - Psoralea corylifolia

It is sweet, bitter, and pungent when cooked. It is purgative, cool, tasty, and dry in nature. It is beneficial for curing heart-related problems and cough, bleeding diathesis, bronchial asthma, dermatoses, urinary disorders, fever and is anthelmintic. Fruits enhance pitta and are beneficial for hair and skin. Grind its root to form a paste and add a little amount of roasted alum to it. Use the mixture to brush the teeth and it cures any infection in the teeth. Take ½ gm. seed powder with ginger juice, 4-7 times a day. It gives relief from cough. The phlegm loosens and is easily released. Cook and eat the leaves, every morning and evening regularly for a few weeks to cure diarrhea. For jaundice, take 20 ml juice of spreading hogweed, and ½ gm of Psoralea seeds and powder then mix them well. Give this mixture to the patient every morning and evening. For sterility and infertility: after the menstrual cycle is complete, grind the seeds in oil and apply them to the vagina. It reduces the potential for conceiving.

Bayberry (candleberry) - Myrica cerifera and Myrica Rubra

The bayberry is best known for its berries, from which wax is derived to make fragrant bayberry candles. In folk medicine, bayberry has been used as a tea for its tonic and stimulant properties, and for treating diarrhea. Among Native Americans, the leaves were used to destroy parasitic worms, the leaves and stems were used for treating fever, and the roots were applied as a poultice. It is also reported to have been used as a charm medicine to exorcise spirits of the dead and to prevent diseases. The dried root bark often is used medicinally and as a dyeing/tanning agent.

Bach or vacha - Acorus calamus

It has strong smell and is hot and pungent. It causes vomiting and improves the body fire. It purifies the urinary system and has binding properties. It cures swelling of the stomach caused by indigestion or accumulation of wind, school, epilepsy, cough, anxiety, and insect bite. It is antipyretic and strengthens the heart. It is beneficial for the throat and cures bronchitis and bronchial asthma. Grind it in water and apply the paste on the forehead, it cures headaches. It is a very good memory, throat pain, goiter, asthma, fever, and worms, and also beneficial in anxiety and epilepsy.

Bitter Apple - COLOCYNTH

Colocynth is a great herbal plant with many useful properties. Extract of bitter apple roots shows great effect in reduction of blood sugar level. Several active components present in this herb influence insulin metabolism and this way show great positive activity in type 2 diabetes. Wash to clean the roots of the herb. Then extract its juice by crushing and adding water.
