Oak Mistletoe – phoradendron Leucarpum

Mistletoe is a semi parasitic plant that grows on many types of trees, including apple, oak, maple, elm, pine, and poplar. Health benefits that have been attributed to mistletoe include improving cardiovascular health, relieving stress and anxiety, and boosting the immune system to help fight off colds and respiratory problems. It is also a popular complementary therapy for cancer treatment in many parts of the world.

Orange Jubilee – Tacoma Stans

Orange Jubilee is also known as Orange Bells, Orange Trumpet Bush or Orange Esperanza. You’ll often find it growing next to its cousin, yellow bells (Tecoma stans). They both come from a family of showy shrubs called Tecomas. Orange Jubilee is believed to be a hybrid of a South African and Central American Tecoma having smaller, dark green leaves.  Medicine is usually made from the leaves and stems, although the roots and flowers are also used sometimes. People take tronadora to treat diabetes and digestion problems.

Old Man – Artemisia Abrotanum

Old Man’s Beard is an immune system tonic that can be used in acute situations and for long term immune enhancement and general prevention. Its immune-strengthening properties are also connected to its powerful antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral properties. The plant body of usnea is used to make medicine. Usnea is used for weight loss, pain relief, fever control, and wound healing; and to make phlegm easier to cough up. Usnea is also used directly on the skin for sore mouth and throat.

Oleander – Nerium Oleander

Despite the danger, oleander seeds and leaves are used to make medicine. Oleander is used for heart conditions, asthma, epilepsy, cancer, painful menstrual periods, leprosy, malaria, ringworm, indigestion, and venereal disease; and to cause abortions. Oleander has traditionally been used in the treatment of cardiac illness, diabetes mellitus, corns, scabies, and in wound healing as an antibacterial/antimicrobial. However, limited quality clinical trials are available to support these uses.

Ox-eye daisy is used for conditions of the respiratory tract, wound healing, and various other purposes

Ostrich Fern – Matteuccia Struthiopteris

Overview. Ostrich fern is a plant. The young shoots of ostrich fern, known as fiddleheads, are used to make medicine. Ostrich fern is used as a gargle for sore throat, as a laxative, and for wounds and boils on the skin. Fiddlehead ferns are high in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which are often found in so-called “superfoods.” They can be especially good for people who don’t eat fish, which are also high in essential fatty acids. The Oyster Plant (Tradescantia Spathacea) is a fleshy or succulent perennial garden herb ornamental plant and is found in many tropical countries. It is used for colds, sore throat, whooping cough, nasal bleeding, and as an anti- inflammatory.
